India will launch UPI in Sri Lanka and Mauritius.

• After the introduction of the Unified Payment Interface in many countries, India is set to launch UPI in Sri Lanka and Mauritius also.
• Currently, UPI is accepted in France, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Singapore, Maldives, and Bhutan.

Eight Former Navy veterans have been freed and arrived in India.

• Eight Former Indian Navy Officers who were sentenced in Qatar have arrived in India.
• They were convicted in Qatar in a case related to espionage.
• They were recently pardoned due to the personal intervention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Telangana has decided to change the vehicle prefix and state emblem.

• The Telangana Government has decided to have vehicle registrations to be prefixed with TG instead of TS.
• The Government also decided to change the state emblem and also redesign Telangana Thalli.

• Nawaf Salam, a Lebanese judge has been appointed as the Chief Justice of the International Court of Justice.
• He will stay as the Chief Justice of the International Court of Justice for 3 years.
