Royal Australian Navy chief Vice Admiral Mark Hammond was given a guard of honor at the South Block lawn in Delhi on Wednesday. The Australian naval officer received the honor in the presence of Indian Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar.

Coastal security exercise 'Sagar Kavach' was conducted off Lakshadweep Islands…

Indian Navy, Coast Guard, Marine Police, and other security agencies jointly participated in Coastal Security Exercise Sagar Kavach…The exercise was conducted by the Indian Navy along with the Indian Coast Guard. It is a semi-annual exercise to calibrate the coastal security mechanism and validate the standard operating procedure.

National Security Advisor Ajit Doval NSA Doval attended the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting and said on the occasion that any terrorist act committed by any person, whenever and for any reason, is not justified. He stressed that perpetrators of terrorism must be dealt with effectively and expeditiously, including those involved in cross-border terrorism. National Security Advisor Ajit Doval held talks with his Kazakhstan counterpart Gizat Nurdaulatov on deepening existing cooperation and launching initiatives in new and emerging areas on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting in Astana.

13 Naxalites killed in major security operation before Lok Sabha elections…

In a major operation ahead of the Lok Sabha elections in Chhattisgarh, security forces killed at least 13 Naxalites. Police said that the firing took place in a remote forest of Bijapur district on Tuesday. Due to the firing that lasted for about eight hours, tension prevailed in the area and the consequences of the war were visible. During the search of the encounter site, security forces recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition, including one LMG, one .303 bore rifle and one 12-bore rifle along with a large quantity of BGL shells and launchers.

North Korea confirms test of new hypersonic missile…

North Korean President Kim Jong Un on Tuesday participated in and inspected the test launch of a brand new intermediate-range fuel missile carrying a hypersonic warhead. Kim Jong Un attended the test launch of the solid-fuel Hwasong-16 missile in a Pyongyang suburb and claimed that all missiles developed by his country are now based on solid-fuel technology and capable of carrying nuclear warheads.
