  • Defence Acquisition Council which is headed by the Defence Minister has passed an acceptance of necessity allowing the purchase of Defence Platforms worth 84,560 crore rupees.
  • This purchase includes heavy-weight torpedoes, refueller aircraft and other defence platforms.

Visakhapatnam to host the 12th edition of the MILAN naval exercise.

  • The Indian Navy has confirmed that the 12th edition of the joint military exercise Milan will be completed in Visakhapatnam.
  • More than 50 countries are participating in this exercise and the theme of the 12th edition of the Milan Exercise is, “Forging Naval Alliances for a Secure Maritime Future,”
