The National Defence Academy (NDA) in Khadakwasla, Pune, witnessed a landmark event on May 30, 2025, as it held the Passing Out Parade (POP) for its 148th course. Trailblazing Women Cadets
The inclusion of women in the NDA began in 2022 following a Supreme Court directive in 2021, allowing female candidates to appear for the NDA entrance examination. Among the 17 graduating women cadets:

Cadet Shriti Daksh: Achieved the top position in the Bachelor of Arts stream. Daughter of retired Wing Commander Yogesh Kumar Daksh, she followed in her father's footsteps by joining the historic Hunter Squadron.

Cadet Ishita Sharma: Honored with the title of Division Cadet Captain (DCC), reflecting her exemplary leadership qualities.
These women cadets have demonstrated exceptional dedication, resilience, and commitment, paving the way for future generations of women in the Indian armed forces.
