Sagar Defence Backs Endure Air Systems with Strategic Investment to Boost Indigenous Drone Capabilities

Sagar Defence has taken a strategic equity position in Endure Air Systems, a Kanpur-based unmanned aerial systems (UAS) start-up, signalling a decisive push into next-generation defence technologies. The investment underlines a growing shift within India’s defence ecosystem, where established players are actively supporting homegrown start-ups to accelerate innovation and self-reliance.

The partnership is structured to support the development of scalable, mission-ready drone platforms tailored for both military and civilian operations. By joining forces, Sagar Defence brings its operational and industry expertise, while Endure Air Systems contributes its rapid design, prototyping and development strengths.

Endure Air Systems has emerged as a promising name in the UAS space, with a portfolio focused on lightweight and quickly deployable drone solutions. The company’s capabilities span in-house hardware engineering, avionics integration and proprietary software development, enabling tighter system control and faster iteration cycles. Its platforms are designed for reliability, ease of maintenance and cost efficiency, making them suitable for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) missions, along with a wide range of internal security and civilian applications.

This strategic investment is expected to strengthen India’s indigenous unmanned capabilities, reinforcing the broader goal of building robust, mission-ready systems within the country’s defence manufacturing ecosystem.
