The United Kingdom Army contingent has arrived in India to take part in the Exercise Ajeya Warrior 2025, marking yet another milestone in the growing military relationship between the two countries. On 15 November 2025, 120 soldiers belonging to the 2 Royal Gurkha Rifles reached Palam Air Force Station before proceeding further to the venue of this year's drills, the Mahajan Field Firing Ranges.

They were accorded a ceremonial and richly cultural welcome by the Indian Army's fabled SIKH Regiment upon their arrival. This symbolized respect, friendship, and shared soldiering traditions that define India–UK defence bonds.
Scheduled to commence on 17 November 2025, the latest edition of Ajeya Warrior will bring troops from both sides together for joint maneuvers, tactical exercises, field operations, and the exchange of battlefield insights. The training curriculum will include interoperability enhancement, sub-unit coordination, and combined capability refinement, specifically toward counter-insurgency and high-intensity combat scenarios.

Exercise Ajeya Warrior epitomizes the growing defence cooperation between India and the United Kingdom by building professional excellence, trust, and seamless synergy between highly skilled armies.
