IAF Agniveervayu (Sports) Intake 02/2026 Notification

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has released the official notification for Agniveervayu (Sports) Intake 02/2026 under the Agnipath Scheme. This recruitment is specially designed for talented sportspersons who want to serve the nation while continuing their sports career. Only unmarried male candidates with strong sports achievements can apply.

Application Start: 23 March 2026
Last Date to Apply: 29 March 2026
Recruitment Trials: 08 April to 10 April 2026

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

Born between 02 July 2005 and 02 January 2009

Educational Qualification

Science Stream: 10+2 with Physics, Maths & English (50% marks)
Non-Science: 10+2 in any stream with 50% marks

Marital Status

Only unmarried male candidates are eligible

Sports Eligibility

Candidates must have:

Represented India in international events OR
Secured at least 5th position in national-level competitions
For team sports, participation at the state or university level is required

Selection Process

The selection includes three main stages:

Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
- 1.6 km run in 7 minutes
- 10 push-ups, 10 sit-ups, 20 squats
Sports Trials
- Skill-based evaluation in the respective sport
Medical Examination
- As per IAF standards

Salary & Benefits

Starting salary: ₹30,000/month
Increases up to ₹40,000/month in 4th year
Seva Nidhi Package: Around ₹10.04 lakh after 4 years
Additional benefits: Insurance, medical facilities, allowances
