Lt Shashank Tiwari Being Awarded Kirti Chakra
Lt Shashank Tiwari of Army Service Corps, 1 Sikkim Scouts was posthumously awarded the Kirti Chakra, the Country’s second-highest peacetime Gallantry Award. The award acknowledges his extreme bravery, devotion, and highest sacrifice for the nation.
Lt Shashank Tiwari was from Ayodhya, UP. As a kid, he was very determined and had a strong sense of patriotism. Enlisting in the Indian Army was not only a job decision for him but a childhood fantasy fueled by the principles of courage, discipline, and service to the motherland.
