Historic Moment for the 149th Course
The National Defence Academy (NDA) marked a major milestone as the 149th Course successfully completed its training with a grand Passing Out Parade (POP) on 30 November 2025 at the iconic Khetarpal Parade Ground.

The morning witnessed a vibrant gathering of proud parents, dignitaries, veterans, school students, and civilians, all assembled to witness one of NDA’s most cherished traditions.
Reviewing Officer: Chief of Naval Staff Leads the Ceremony
The parade for the Autumn Term 2025 was reviewed by
Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, PVSM, AVSM, NM, Chief of the Naval Staff.
Parade Conducted with Ceremonial Splendour
- Maj Avinash Pandey, SM, Adjutant, led the parade astride his charger ‘Reliant Robin’.
- Academy Cadet Captain Siddharth Singh of Oscar Squadron commanded the parade with remarkable confidence.
Massive Participation: 1,250 Cadets on Parade
Passing Out Cadets March Through Antim Pag
A total of 1,250 cadets, including 329 cadets of the passing-out course, marched with immaculate precision.
As per tradition, the cadets crossed the Antim Pag to the emotional tune of ‘Auld Lang Syne’, marking the completion of their NDA journey.
Next Phase of Training
The graduating cadets will now join:
- IMA – Indian Military Academy
- INA – Indian Naval Academy
- AFA – Air Force Academy
They now move ahead with the values of honour, courage, commitment, and service to the nation.
Recognising Excellence: President’s Medal Awardees
The Reviewing Officer honoured the top cadets of the 149th Course with prestigious President’s Medals:
- President’s Gold Medal: ACA Deepak Kandpal
- President’s Silver Medal: ACC Siddharth Singh
- President’s Bronze Medal: DCC Siddhi Jain
These awards symbolise outstanding merit in academics, leadership, physical fitness, and overall performance.
Spectacular Conclusion with Sukhoi-30 Flypast
The parade reached its climax with a powerful Sukhoi-30 flypast, inspiring the gathering and saluting the newly graduated cadets who now embark on their commissioning journey.

The NDA 149th POP beautifully reflected the Academy’s core values and its commitment to shaping future leaders of the Indian Armed Forces.
