Tragic Death at NDA: Cadet Aditya D Yadav Dies During Swimming Practice
In a tragic accident at the National Defence Academy (NDA), Khadakwasla, 18-year-old I Term cadet Aditya D Yadav died while taking a supervised swimming practice session on Thursday night.
The incident was reported around 5 p.m. during a drill practice for identified weak-swimmer cadets carried out under close instructor supervision. Cadet Yadav was seen swimming through the pool when he was suddenly noticed motionless on the water surface. Two lifeguards immediately responded and took him out of the water. In spite of instant CPR, medical assistance on the spot, and swift transfer to Military Hospital, Khadakwasla, the cadet was unable to be resuscitated.
NDA officials have expressed profound sorrow at the loss and have expressed their condolences to the family in a heartfelt manner. The local police have been notified, along with the next of kin, and an official investigation has been launched to establish the precise circumstances around the tragic accident.
