As per the company’s regulatory disclosure, the contract includes the manufacturing and supply of ground equipment, accessories, ESP, and ammunition for a launcher platform designed to operate multiple rocket variants, including extended-range rockets with strike capability up to 150 km and 300 km. The total contract value is inclusive of all applicable taxes and duties and has been reported in line with SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015.
Strategic Impact
The Universal Rocket Launcher System is engineered to provide the Indian Army with greater operational flexibility, enabling rapid deployment and precision strikes across varied terrains and mission requirements. Its ability to integrate different rocket types enhances responsiveness and long-range firepower in modern battlefield scenarios.
Push for Atmanirbhar Bharat
This order highlights the expanding role of private Indian defence firms in supplying advanced weapon systems and aligns closely with the government’s Atmanirbhar Bharat vision. For Nibe Limited, the contract marks a significant step forward, reinforcing its growing footprint in the defence sector while contributing to the Army’s broader modernisation and indigenisation efforts.
Bottom line: indigenous muscle, longer reach, and a clear signal that India’s private defence ecosystem is stepping up loud and decisive.
