Join Indian Navy (Nausena Bharti) has released the official notification for the 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme July 2026 on its official website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in. A total of 44 vacancies are available under this recruitment. The online application process will begin on 03 January 2026, and eligible candidates can apply till 19 January 2026. Important Notes on Vacancies
- Vacancies are tentative and may change based on training slot availability.
- A candidate is allowed to submit only one application. Multiple applications will lead to cancellation.
- Maximum vacancies for women candidates are 07, subject to the merit list position.
Eligibility Conditions
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have:
- Passed Senior Secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination from a recognised board
- Minimum 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM)
- At least 50% marks in English (either in Class X or Class XII)
Who Can Apply?
- Candidates who have appeared in JEE (Main) – 2025 for B.E./B.Tech
- Shortlisting for SSB will be based on JEE (Main) All India Common Rank List (CRL) – 2025 published by NTA

Medical Standards
- Candidates recommended by SSB must undergo a detailed medical examination applicable to 10+2 (B.Tech) entry
- No relaxation in medical standards is permitted on any grounds
- Change of medical centre or hospital is not allowed

Selection Procedure
Shortlisting for SSB
- Naval Headquarters reserves the right to fix the cut-off JEE rank
- Candidates must correctly enter their CRL rank in the application form
SSB Interview
Shortlisted candidates will be called for SSB interviews at:
- Bangalore
- Bhopal
- Kolkata
- Visakhapatnam
SSB interviews will be conducted from March 2026 onwards
Important SSB Instructions
- Intimation will be sent via email and SMS
- Change of SSB centre or date is not permitted
- Candidates must download the call-up letter as instructed
- No compensation will be provided for injuries during SSB
Travel Allowance
- AC 3-tier rail fare is admissible for the first-time SSB appearance
- Candidates must carry bank details for reimbursement
Merit List & Final Selection
- A common merit list will be prepared based on SSB marks
- Medical fitness, police verification, and vacancy availability are mandatory
- Inclusion in the merit list does not guarantee appointment
Training Details
Selected candidates will undergo a 4-year B.Tech course in:
- Applied Electronics & Communication Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electronics & Communication Engineering
The degree will be awarded by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU)
The entire training cost, including books, clothing, and messing, will be borne by the Indian Navy
