The UPSC offers young male and female aspirants a fantastic opportunity to serve the country as defence officers through the NDA entrance exam. Young candidates join the Indian Armed Forces by enrolling in the National Defence Academy, which is located in Khadakwasla, Pune, Maharashtra, after passing the successive phases of the NDA entrance exam. According to the 2023 exam calendar as published by the UPSC, the official notification for the NDA 1 2023 exam will be issued on December 21, 2022.   • The NDA exam is a national-level entrance exam held twice a year by the UPSC to select eligible male and female aspirants for admission to the National Defence Academy, India's premier defence academy.

  • Candidates for the Army Wing must have passed the 10+2 examination in any stream from a recognised board, while those for the Air Force and Navy must have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics. Candidates in the 12th grade are also eligible to apply for this exam.

  • The NDA exam is divided into two sections: mathematics and GAT (General Ability Test). The NDA written exam is administered offline and consists solely of objective questions with answers to be marked on an OMR sheet.
