• The government has released a new guideline related to the Adhaar Card.
• According to the new guideline, the new Adhaar Cards will have the bearing that Adhaar is not a document for citizenship and Date of Birth.

India and France sign a key defence agreement.

• During the visit of French President, Emanuel Macron as a Chief Guest of the Republic Day Parade, India and France signed a key agreement related to defence technology.
• This key agreement includes the decision to transfer Jet Engine 100% of the technology to India.
• France will transfer 100% technology of the 5th generation jet to India.
• The agreement was signed between the French Company Safran and India’s DRDO.
• This technology will be used in India’s AMCA, a fifth-generation jet that is under development.

Airbus and TATA will set up India’s first Helicopter Assembly line.

• A final assembly line (FAL), which will be India’s first private helicopter assembly line will be jointly set up by TATA and Airbus.
• This facility is expected to be completed in 2 years and is intended to export Helicopters to neighbouring countries also.
