What Should Candidates Do After Getting the Call-Up

Getting an SSB call-up is only the beginning. Now your focus should shift towards SSB preparation.

Start by understanding the complete SSB process, including:

• Screening Test
• Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR)
• Picture Perception and Discussion Test (PP&DT)
• Psychological Tests
• Group Testing Officer (GTO) Tasks
• Personal Interview
• Conference

Instead of trying to prepare everything in a single week, build a practical routine. Work on your reasoning ability, communication, current affairs, psychological test practice, and group-task skills together.

Also, go through your PIQ-related information carefully. Many questions during the personal interview can be connected to your education, family background, hobbies, achievements, and everyday experiences.

Don't Wait Until the SSB Date

One common mistake candidates make is starting SSB preparation only a few days before the interview.

SSB is not simply an exam where you can memorise answers and walk into the centre. It involves different activities designed to assess candidates across multiple situations.

So, once you receive your call-up, use the available time wisely. Practise regularly, understand the purpose of each test, and work on presenting your thoughts naturally.

Prepare for SSC June 2027 SSB With the Right Guidance

Candidates who are appearing for the SSC June 2027 SSB can also consider structured preparation through Centurion Defence Academy, where aspirants can work on different stages of the SSB process under mentor guidance.

From OIR and PP&DT to Psychology, GTO tasks, and Personal Interview, structured practice can help candidates become more familiar with the actual SSB environment.

The focus should not be on memorising model answers. Instead, candidates should understand the process, practise consistently, and become more comfortable handling different situations.
