Rail Vikas Nigam Limited has been given Navratna Status.

• Rail Vikas Nigam was promoted to Navratna-1 Status in Public Sector Units.
• Navratna Companies have the freedom to invest an amount of up to ₹1,000 crores without requiring explicit government approval.
• They may even invest 15% of their net worth on a particular project or 30% of their net worth during the whole year, but without exceeding the ₹1,000 crores limit.

NPCI Bharat BillPay launches the NOCS

platform to process ONDC transactions.

• NOCS is integrated with banks, fintech, and e-commerce players, and will soon go live with the first set of five banks on ONDC - AU Small Finance Bank, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, IDFC First Bank, and YES Bank.

OMI Foundation's Ease of Moving Index (EoMI) India Report 2022.

According to OMI Foundation’s Ease of Moving Index 2022-

• Aizawl has the highest adoption of cashless payments, and Kolkata has the second-highest adoption of cashless payments.
• Kanpur followed by Patna and Lucknow have the highest adoption of cashless payments for different mobility services.

• The third in-person Quad Summit, which will be held in Australia, will see the participation of President Joe Biden, Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, PM Narendra Modi, and PM Anthony Albanese.

Personal income tax as a percentage of GDP has gone up from 2.11 percent in the 2014-15 to 2.94 percent in 2021-22 fiscal.

• The finance ministry said the Personal Income Tax (PIT), which is paid by individuals, to GDP ratio has been steadily increasing from 2.11 in FY 2014-15 to 2.94 in FY 2021-22. The personal income tax collection (including Securities Transaction Tax) increased to over Rs 6.96 lakh crore, from over Rs 2.65 lakh crore in 2014-15.

• Anant Maheshwari, the President of Microsoft India, has been appointed as the Chairperson of Nasscom for the period 2023-24, succeeding Krishnan Ramanujam, the President of Business and Technology Services at Tata Consultancy Services
