The government has approved the entry of females in the Army’s Artillery Regiment.

  • Government has approved the induction of women in the Regiment of Artillery." In January 2023, General Manoj Pande, the Chief of Army Staff, announced a proposal to induct women officers in the artillery regiments that had been sent to the Centre.

Paris has become the first city in the world to ban the use of electric scooters.

  • Amid the rising number of people being injured and killed on e-scooters in the French capital, Paris residents have voted to ban rental electric scooters, reported BBC on 3 March. As per the official results, almost 90% of votes cast on Sunday favoured a ban the battery-powered devices.

Deepest ever Fish has been filmed in the Izu-Ogasawara Trench.

  • A ghostly white snailfish has the record for the deepest fish ever seen after it was filmed at more than 27,000 feet beneath the ocean surface.
  • Scientists on board the research vessel DSSV Pressure Drop stumbled across the snailfish.

Direct Tax Collection in the Financial Year has crossed 16.1 trillion dollars.

  • As compared to the financial year 2022, Direct tax Collection increased by 17.63%.

RBI has launched a centralized portal ‘PRAVAAH’ for licensing and approval of applications.

  • RBI is set to introduce a new secured web-based portal called "PRAVAAH", aimed at simplifying and streamlining the application processes.
  • “PRAVAAH”- Platform for Regulatory Application, Validation, and Authorisation.
