MNS or Military Nursing Service is the most prestigious defence career option for Female Defence Aspirants. To join the military nursing service, Candidates have to appear for a national-level exam called MNS CBT (Military Nursing Service Computer-Based Test) which is conducted by the Indian Army. But to appear for MNS CBT, it is mandatory to qualify for NEET (UG). Military Nursing Service is the best opportunity for female defence aspirants because it gives them a chance to serve in the Indian Army as an officer.

What is Military Nursing Service?

MNS or Military Nursing Service Exam is conducted to select candidates for 4 years of BSc Nursing Course. This exam is conducted by the Directorate General of Medical Service. It is a 6-stage exam in which candidates will have to appear for the online exam, verification of documents, Online MNS Exam, Psychological Assessment Test (PAT), Interview, and Medical Examination.

Eligibility for MNS 2023 Exam

Educational Qualification	10+2 or Equivalent Passed with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with not less than 50% aggregate marks. Or Candidates appearing for the final year of the qualifying examination during the current academic session.
Age	Candidates should be between the age of 16.5 to 24.5 years.
Marital Status	unmarried/ divorced/ legally separated/widow without encumbrances.
Height	152 Cm 147 Cm for Candidates from Hill and North-East.

CBT, PAT, and PI Updated Syllabus of MNS 2023 Exam

Test Name	Details
MNS CBT Exam	MNS CBT or Military Nursing Service Computer Based Service is a computer-based exam. MNS CBT Folows MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) Pattern. It means there will be four options and the candidate will have to choose one right answer. MNS CBT Comprises of 3 subjects i.e. English, General Intelligence, and Science (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology). MNS CBT comprises 150 Questions that have to be solved within 90 minutes. There is no provision of negative marking in the MNS CBT Exam.
Test of General Intelligence & General English (ToGlGE)	Test of General Intelligence & General English (ToGlGE) will be a computer-based examination in which questions of general intelligence and general English will be asked. There will be a total of 40 questions carrying 2 marks for each question. This Paper will be of total 80 Marks. Candidates will have 30 minutes to answer 40 questions. There will be a negative marking of 0.5 marks for each incorrect answer.
Psychological Assessment Test (PAT)	The psychological Assessment Test (PAT) will be a qualifying stage and its marks will not be added to the final merit list. The Psychological Assessment Test (PAT) will be an MCQ-based test in which there will be questions of Psychology that Candidates will have to answer.
Personal Interview (PI)	After the Psychological Assessment Test (PAT), the Interview of Candidates will be conducted by a Board of Officers at a designated venue.
