Candidates must clear the Indian Army B.Sc Nursing entrance examination for admission to 4 years B.Sc. (Nursing) course at Colleges of Nursing of Armed Forces Medical Services. Only after successful completion of training (four years), candidates will be appointed in the “Military Nursing Service, under the Terms and Conditions laid down for grant of Short Service Commission.” As per the official notification, “During training, they will be provided with free ration, accommodation, uniform allowance and a monthly stipend as per existing Terms and Conditions as amended from time to time”.
The Directorate General of Medical Services at national level every year releases the fresh vacancies in AFMC Nursing to its official website. On the basis of following eligibility criteria a candidate can secure her seat in colleges of Nursing of Armed Forces Medical Services.
1. Candidate must have passed in the first attempt, Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) or equivalent (12 Years schooling) examination.
2. Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology) and English with not less than 50% aggregate marks as a regular student from a Statutory / Recognized Board /University/ Examination Body.
Examination will be conducted on online mode where eligible applicants need to appear in the Written Test (CBT- objective-type). The test is of 90 minutes and covers topics from Physics, Chemistry, Biology, General Intelligence, and General English. On the official website of the Indian Army www.indianarmy.gov.in candidates who have appeared in the written test in April 2020 will be able to get their Indian Army B.Sc. Nursing 2020 results in April 2020.
Qualified candidates will be called for Interview by the conducting authority followed to medical fitness tests for final selection process.
