What is Sectional Cut Off in NDA Exam?

Many candidates who have written NDA exam recently are wondering if there is any NDA exam sectional cut off marks or NDA exam paper wise cut off marks, if yes, how much is NDA exam sectional cut off marks. In this article , I am going to explain and share with you all the official NDA exam sectional cut off marks so that candidates who are writing NDA exam in near future can prepare as per the marks they have to score in every NDA exam paper i.e. Paper 1-Mathematics and Paper 2-General Ability Test.

NDA Exam Sectional Cut Off Marks

UPSC NDA exam has sectional cut off which means candidates need to get the minimum marks in each paper of NDA exam, i.e. one needs to score minimum marks in mathematics and general ability paper separately to clear the NDA exam. Below we are talking more about how much marks do we need to clear NDA exam in both mathematics and general ability.  But before proceeding you should also understand that NDA Paper 1- Mathematics is also Qualifying nature paper i.e. if you don’t qualify mathematics paper, your GAT paper will not be checked.

NDA Exam Mathematics Cut Off Marks

As per the UPSC one has to score at least 20% - 30% of the maximum marks in NDA exam mathematics paper to clear the exam. If you do not score 20% - 30% marks in mathematics paper irrespective to your total score in NDA exam, you will be considered as failed. This Cutoff % varies year to year depending upon the level of examination. Mostly this cutoff is 25% as per last year NDA Analysis.

For Eg: NDA exam mathematics cut off mark is 30% of 300 i.e. 90 marks. So candidates need to score 90 marks out of 300 marks to clear NDA exam sectional cut off for Mathematics.

 

NDA Exam General Ability Test Cut Off Marks In ,UPSC NDA general ability test, candidates need to score minimum marks as per UPSC to clear the NDA exam. Cut off marks for NDA exam general ability test is 20% - 30%  of 600 marks. This Cutoff % varies year to year depending upon the level of examination. Mostly this cutoff is 25% as per last year NDA Analysis.

For Eg: Taking 30% as cutoff ,General ability test consist of 600 marks in which candidates need to score 180 marks to clear the NDA exam. So candidates need to score 180 marks out of 600 marks to clear NDA exam sectional cut off for General ability test.
