Apollo Micro Systems gets ₹100+ crore drone contract - Desi defence on 'full throttle'

A Hyderabad-based Company, Apollo Micro Systems, has recently bagged a defence deal of ₹100.25 crore to provide Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), further fueling India’s indigenous drone movement.

As per a disclosure made by a regulatory, this order has come in the course of business of the company, and this is channelled through a private player, with the final delivery set for the Ministry of Defence. The clock is ticking fast, and this entire execution is set to be completed within four months.

In simple language:

Rs 1,

Unmanned Aerial Systems

Delivered to MoD.

Deadline: Tight, Confidence Tighter.

Why this matters

It’s a clear marker of a new direction: the Indian military is going all-in on native drone solutions. Drones are no longer an afterthought but an operational necessity. Real-time intelligence, versatility, and combatant safety—this is how warfare is done on silicon wings.

Apollo Micro Systems, famous for its state-of-the-art electronic and electro-mechanical defenses, is gradually making its mark as a major heavyweight player from the private sector in the Indian Defense Manufacturing industry.

Big expansion energy in Telangana

The company recently announced a staggering investment of ₹1,500 crore for setting up a greenfield Defence Manufacturing Facility in Telangana. The upcoming production facility will cater to the production of missile warheads, rocket motors, artillery ammunition of various calibres, as well as full ammunition systems for rockets and other weapons. Nothing but the best for our Defence needs! Full-spectrum Defence Manufacturing!

"Order book: ₹785 crore as of Sept 30, 2025 – First Half of F.Y

"Stock Performance: Over 120% this year"

Sentiment of the investor community: Market confidence? That's been locked i.n. This particular UAS contract, as opposed to the others, symbolizes the true ‘win’ for Aatmanirbhar Bharat and the realization that the PPPs in the Indian defence sector are not supporting roles, because Indian defence companies are now penning the script.
