Union Public Service Commission has published a Notification inviting applications for CDS-2 2024. The CDS-2 2024 Exam will be conducted on 01 Sep 2024 by UPSC. The CDS Exam is conducted twice a year for selecting candidates for the Officers Training Academy, Indian Military Academy, Indian Air Force Academy, and Indian Naval Academy. The CDS-2 2024 exam will be conducted in two stages. In the first stage, a written exam will be conducted and in the second stage, a five-day SSB Interview will be conducted. CDS-2 2024 Exam, Important Dates, and Other Details
The CDS exam is a national-level defence exam conducted by UPSC twice a year. Any graduate or male or female candidate can apply for this exam. After qualifying for this two-stage exam, candidates are trained at the Officers Training Academy, Indian Military Academy, Indian Air Force Academy, and Indian Naval Academy for about 1 year and they are commissioned into the rank of Lieutenant or in equivalent ranks. For CDS-2 2024: Indian Military Academy (IMA)-2nd January 2001 to 1st January 2006. Indian Naval Academy (INA)-2nd January 2001 to 1st January 2006. Air Force Academy (AFA)-2nd January 2001 to 1st January 2005. Officers Training Academy OTA (Men)- 2nd January 2000 to 1st January 2006. Officers Training Academy OTA (Women)- 2nd January 2000 to 1st January 2006.
Nationality
The candidates must be unmarried male/female and should be:
a Citizen of India, or
a Subject of Bhutan, or
a Subject of Nepal, or
a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st of January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, and Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India
