HOW TO JOIN SAINIK SCHOOLS

Sainik Schools is all about igniting young minds and enabling youngsters to attain their fullest potential in serving the nation. The Sainik Schools are a system of schools in India established and managed by the Sainik Schools Society under the purview of respective state governments and Ministry of Defence.Established to rectify the regional and class imbalance amongst the Officer cadre of the Indian Military, and to prepare students for entry into the National Defence Academy (NDA), Khadakwasla, Pune and Indian Naval Academy.

Today there are 33 suchSainik schools (running under Sainik School Society),19 Proposed Sainik Schools(Under Sainik School Society) and 1 UP Sainik School(Under state ministry) covering all the states of the country.

• The first Sainik School was opened by Dr SampoornaNand in UP in 1960 under UP State Government and there after other Sainik school and Military Schools were opened under Ministry of Defence. UP Sainik School Lucknow located near Amausi Airport remains the only Sainik School under State Govt.
• 33 runningSainik Schools and 05 Rashtriya Military Schools in the country.The inspiration for Sainik Schools came from the Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) which have given India many service chiefs and the public school system of England.
• 19 proposed Sainik Schools in the countryon the basis of request by different States.

 

OBJECTIVE OF THE SAINIK SCHOOLS

· The schools select bright and promising students through a national entrance examination and focus on moulding their overall personality with emphasis on extracurricular activities.

· Sainik schools resources allow cadets to develop their skills in sports, academics and other extracurricular activities.

· Sainik Schools activities include running tracks, cross-country tracks, indoorgames, parade grounds, boxing rings, firing ranges, canoeing clubs, horseriding clubs, mountaineering clubs, trekking and hiing club, obstacles courses, football, hockey and cricket fields, as well as volleyball and basketball courts.

· Cadets also become a part of NCC. A cadet who complete their 12th standard usually possess a NCC B certificate.

As per official notification released every year for the All India Sainik School Entrance Exam (AISSEE) here we have shared a tentative notification details for the upcoming 2021-2022 admissions.

• All India Sainik School Admission Form 2021-2022registration will be released in August and September month 2020.
• Candidates will be able to Apply through Online/Offline Mode from August to September 2020 on the website sainikschooladmission.in (http://sainikschooladmission.in/index.html)
• Apply Online Application Form as per their eligibility.
•  It is suggested that candidates keep all required information and recent scanned photograph, signature, Birth Certificate, Domicile Certificate and Caste Certificate with them while applying online, so that the relevant document is promptly uploaded.
• Admit card available in December month 2020.
• All India Sainik School Entrance Exam 2021 is conducted every year in the month of January 2021.
• Written Merit List (WML) to be released in month of February 2021.
• Medical to be held in month of  February and March 2021.
• Final Merit List (FML) to be released in month of March 2021.

 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR SAINIK SCHOOL AISSEE

Age Limit

The Entrance Examination will be held for admission to class VI & IX boys and girls.

1. Class 6 - 10 to 12 years
2. Class 9 - 13 to 15 years
3. For admission the boys and girls should be studying ina recognized school.
4. Admission will be made strictly in order of merit only in classes VI and IX.

Application Fees

The Registration charge are included in the selling price of the prospectus-cum-application forms

1. Candidates who belongs to General and Defence Category: Rs.400/-
2. For SC/ST Category Candidates - Rs.250/-
3. Mode of Fee Payment - Demand Draft

 

ALL INDIA SAINIK SCHOOLS ENTRANCE EXAMS DETAILS

 

For the Class VI students

• The medium of examination for Class VI is English, Hindi and all other recognized regional official languages.

Subjects:

• Mathematics, GK, Intelligence and English
• Maximum Marks - 300

For the Class IX students

• The medium of examination for Class IX is English. However students are allowed to write exam in any of their preferred languages.

Subjects:

• Mathematics, Intelligence, General Science, English and Social Studies
• Maximum Marks - 400

Reservation

1. 15% of the total seats are reserved for Scheduled Castes
2. 7½% seats for Scheduled Tribes.
3. Out of the remaining, 67% of the seats will be reserved for the State in which the Sainik School is located. Balance 33% left over of seats will be reserved for other States and Union Territories.
4. Any unutilized seats in this category will be merged with home State seats (In this connection, please refer to this office letter No. 4(1)/SSS/2016) dated 5th July 2017) in order of merit.
5. 25% seats are reserved for children of service personnel including Ex-servicemen

• Class 7 – 10.5 to 13 years
• Class 9 – 12.5 to 15 years
• For admission the boys and girls should be studying in a recognized school.
• Admission will be made strictly in order of merit only in classes VII and IX.

Application Fees
