The Indian Navy 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme July 2026 is one of the most prestigious officer entries for Class 12 science students. The official notification has already been released, applications were invited earlier, and now the Indian Navy has issued an important update regarding the shortlisting and SSB interview stage.

As per the official update:

“Shortlisting for 10+2 BTech Cadet Entry Jul 26 batch completed.

SSB Call-up letters will be uploaded by mid Feb 26.”

This clearly indicates that candidates who have cleared the shortlisting stage should now focus fully on SSB preparation, as the next phase is just around the corner.

Indian Navy 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry July 2026 – Overview

The Indian Navy (Nausena Bharti) released the official notification for the 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme July 2026 on its official website. Through this entry, selected candidates will undergo a 4-year B.Tech course at the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala, followed by commissioning as officers in the Indian Navy.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have:

  • Passed 10+2 (Senior Secondary) or equivalent from a recognised board
  • Minimum 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM)
  • Minimum 50% marks in English (Class X or XII)

Who Was Eligible to Apply?

  • Candidates who appeared in JEE (Main) – 2025 for B.E./B.Tech
  • Shortlisting for SSB is done based on the JEE (Main) All India Common Rank List (CRL) – 2025, published by NTA

Naval Headquarters reserves the right to fix the JEE cut-off rank for shortlisting.

  • SSB call-up letters will be uploaded by mid-February 2026
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the 5-day SSB interview

SSB Interview Details

SSB Centres

Shortlisted candidates will be called for SSB interviews at:

  • Visakhapatnam

SSB interviews will be conducted from March 2026 onwards.

Important SSB Instructions

  • Intimation will be sent via email and SMS
  • Change of SSB date or centre is not permitted
  • Candidates must download and carry the SSB call-up letter
  • No compensation is admissible for injuries during SSB

Medical Standards

Candidates recommended by SSB will undergo a detailed medical examination as per Indian Navy standards.

  • No relaxation in medical standards is allowed
  • Change of medical centre is not permitted
  • Tattoo policy, height-weight standards, and medical guidelines are available on the official website

Travel Allowance (TA)

  • AC 3-tier rail fare is admissible for first-time SSB candidates
  • Candidates must carry bank details for reimbursement

Merit List & Final Selection

A common merit list will be prepared based on SSB marks

Final selection depends on:

  • Medical fitness
  • Police verification
  • Vacancy availability

Training Details

Selected candidates will undergo a 4-year B.Tech course in:

  • Applied Electronics & Communication Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electronics & Communication Engineering

The entire training cost, including books, clothing, and messing, is borne by the Indian Navy.
