Govt to dissolve colonial era cantonment board system.

• A total of 62 army cantonment boards in the country will be dissolved. Civilian areas under cantonment to local municipal bodies. While the army areas in the cantonment will be turned into military stations.

Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) and Indian Navy conducted the successful maiden test trial of ‘ADC-150’

• ‘ADC-150’ is an indigenously designed and developed Air Droppable Container with a 150 kg payload capacity.
• This technology will help to provide logistics facilities to Indian Navy Ships which are deployed in far areas.

• Currently, Inflation in Pakistan is 36.4% which is the highest in South Asia.
• Food Inflation in Pakistan is around 40.2%.

RBI purchased 10 tonnes of Gold in the first quarter of March.

• RBI has purchased 10 tonnes of gold to stabilise Indian Currency and diversify India’s reserves.
• Currently, RBI has 800 tonnes of Gold Reserves.

Goods and Services Taxes in April surged to an all-time high of over ₹1.87 lakh crore.

• Goods and Services Tax Collections increased by 12% to ₹1.87 lakh crore.
• This is the highest-ever GST Collection so far.
