Indian Origin Ajay Banga has been appointed as the Next President of the World Bank.

• Ajay Banga is the former CEO of Mastercard and he is a person of Indian Origin.
• The current President of the World Bank is David Malpass.
• World Bank was created in 1944, as the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) along with the IMF. The IBRD later became the World Bank.

India’s First Undersea Tunnel is going to be completed soon.

• India’s First Undersea Tunnel is being built is being built in Mumbai.
• This tunnel will be a 2.07-kilometre twin tunnel running 17-20 meters below sea level, connecting Girgaon to Priyadarshini Park.

Indian Army has recently conducted an integrated surveillance and firepower training exercise 'Buland Bharat' in Arunachal Pradesh.

• The Armed Forces conducted a "Buland Bharat" exercise in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh. The training was aimed at testing their integrated surveillance and firepower capabilities. The Artillery and Infantry collaborated with Special forces, Aviation, and CAPF to combine their surveillance and firepower.

• During this visit, India provided a 3 million dollar line of credit to the Maldives.

India’s services exports grew a 13 yr high to a record 26.6% in FY23.

• India’s services exports are going to touch $322 billion, while services imports rose 22.2% to $179.7 billion.
