A group of Indian Airforce Pilots have undergone training in Spain for C-295 Aircraft.

  • The Indian Government has made a contract with Spain to buy the transport aircraft C-295.

A mig-21 fighter jet of India crashed in Rajasthan killing 3 civilians.

  • A mig-21 fighter jet of the Indian Air Force crashed in Rjasthan’s Suratgarh District.
  • The pilot was on a routine mission and due to technical errors he had to eject himself. The pilot of the aircraft sustained some injuries but he was safe.

Uttar Pradesh becomes the first state to make digital health cards for its citizens.

  • The urban development department of the government of Uttar Pradesh has started a program called ‘school health program’ making Uttar Pradesh the first state in India to issue digital health cards in India.
  • This digital health card will include health insurance of 25000 rupees.

Indian Air Force receives the first batch of VTOL Loitering Munitions.

  • The Indian Air Force received the first batch of VTOL (Vertical Take Off and Landing)  Loitering Munitions known as TATA AlS 50.

Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju launched the trailer of the first Tagine language film.

  • The trailer of the "first ever" movie in the Tagin language of the state of Arunachal Pradesh was launched by Kiren Rijiju.

China is going to host all heads of state of Central Asian Countries.

  • Leaders of Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan are expected to attend the China ­Central Asia Summit from May 18.

The 42nd Summit of ASEAN begins in Indonesia.

  • The 42nd Summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) has kicked off in Indonesia with a theme of "ASEAN Affairs: Epicenter of Growth."

RBI’s Gold Reserves increased by 34 tonnes to 795 tonnes in Financial Year 2023.

  • Gold Reserves of the Reserve Bank of India increased by 34 tonnes to 795 in the financial year 2023.
  • 437.33 tonnes of Gold RBI is kept in overseas safe facilities and the rest of the gold is kept with RBI only.

Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Mr Yogi Adityanath has been conferred Bharat Ratna Dr Ambedkar Award.

  • Mr. Yogi Adityanath has been conferred Bharat Ratna Dr. Ambedkar Award for creating a fear-free Uttar Pradesh.
  • This award was given to him by former president Ramnath Kovind.

The Asian Cricket Council has moved the Asia Cup out of Pakistan to Sri Lanka.

  • The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) on Monday decided to move the Asia Cup out of Pakistan after PCB’s proposal to host the tournament on a ‘hybrid model’ was rejected by the member nations.

Max Verstappen wins the Miami Grand Prix.

  • In this Miami Grand Prix, Max Verstappen stood at first whereas Sergio Perez and Fernando Alonso stood at 2nd and 3rd respectively.
