Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has launched the ‘Him Data Portal’ for better delivery of welfare schemes.

  • ‘Him Data Platform’ will serve as a one-stop platform for all datasets for the state at the village and block levels.

The government has launched CEIR (Central Equipment Identity Register) platform to locate lost devices.

  • CEIR is the citizen-centric portal of the Department of Telecommunications for tracing lost/stolen mobile devices. This also facilitates the blocking of lost/stolen mobile devices in the network of all telecom operators so that lost/stolen devices can not be used in India.

London stock exchange group to set up a technology center in Hyderabad.

  • The London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) has announced its plan to set up a technology center of excellence in Hyderabad, India.
  • This move is expected to create about 1,000 jobs a year and boost the city's Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector.

Pasang Dawa, a Nepalese sherpa has climbed mount everest for a record 26 times.

  • Pasang Dawa became the second person in the world to climb Mount Everest 26 times.
  • Earlier Kami Rita, a sherpa from Nepal only climbed Mount Everest 26 times.

Goods exports will rise to $451 billion in 2022­23.

  • India’s goods exports for 2023 scaled up significantly from earlier estimates to almost $451 billion, indicating a 6.9% year-on-year growth.

Cochin Port has bagged the Sagar Shrestha Samman Award 2023.

  • The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways honored the Cochin Port Authority (CPA) with the Sagar Shrestha Samman for the best turnaround time in the non-container category during 2022-23.

  • Sportswear retailer Puma has appointed Karthik Balagopalan as the new Managing Director of PUMA India. He earlier served as Global Director of Retail and e-commerce at the company.

  • Alia Bhatt has become the first Indian to be a global ambassador of high-end fashion company Gucci.
