North East gets its first Vande Bharata Express.

• Indian Railway has started the first Vande Bharat Express in northeast India which will run between Guhwati and New Jalpaiguri.

A commemorative coin of 75 rupees was launched at the inauguration of the Parliament Building.

• The weight of this 75 rupee coin will be around 35 gms and it will be made of 50% silver, 40% copper, 5% nickel, and 5% zinc.

India and Nepal signed an agreement to develop a hydropower plant.

• India and Nepal are going to develop a hydropower plant Arun-4 on the Satluj River.
• This hydropower project will be based in Nepal and it will be constructed with a cost of 4,900 crore.

G-20 Anti-Corruption Meeting took place in Tehri, Uttarakhand.

• The Second meeting of the G20 Anti-corruption Working Group that was inaugurated by Union Minister of State for Defence & Tourism, Shri Ajay Bhatt, concluded today in Rishikesh (Tehri), Uttarakhand.

Atal Bhujal Mission has been extended for 2 years.

• Atal Bhujal Mission which is a central sector water conservation scheme has been extended for 2 years till 2025.

Uganda makes a law against LGBTQs.

• Under the law, any person who indulges in LGBTQ relationships will be sentenced to death.
• Same-Sex Marriages are illegal in more than 30 countries in Africa, Uganda is the latest country that has made a law against same-sex marriages.

China plans to land its astronauts on the moon by 2030.

• China is planning to build a lunar base and CMSA.
•  Beijing's plan to land a manned mission on the Moon by 2030.
• The overall goal is to achieve China's first manned landing on the Moon by 2030 and carry out lunar scientific exploration and related technological experiments

UPI will account for 90% of retail payments in the coming future according to the PwC India report.

• UPI to account for 90% of retail digital payments by 2026-27: PwC India report. According to PwC India, UPI transactions are expected to exceed one billion per day by 2026-27, accounting for 90% of retail digital payments in the nation.

Bank of Maharashtra became the top performer in NPA Management.

• Bank of Maharashtra became the top performer in NPA Management as its NPA (Non-Performing Assets) reached 0.25%.

• Praveen Kumar Srivastava has been appointed as Chief Vigilance Commissioner by the President of India.
• Chief Vigilance Officer is the head of the vigilance commission which investigates matters of corruption.
