India’s Indigenous Navigation System was used for the first time in air travel.

• India’s indigenous navigation system GAGAN (GPS Aided Geo Augmented Navigation System) was used for the first in Helicopters.
• A helicopter flew from Juhu to Pune using this navigation system.
• GAGAN Navigation System was jointly developed by ISRO and AAI (Airport Authority of India).

State of Art Training Facility of FSSAI has been established in Ghaziabad.

• A state of art training facility has been established at Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh by FSSAI (Food Safety and Standard Authority of India).

India joins the Centralised Laboratory Network.

• India has joined the Centralised Laboratory Network started by Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations.
• ICMR-NIV (Indian Council for Medical Research- National Institute for Virology) has joined it on behalf of India.

India is going to produce half of its energy from renewable energy only by 2027.

• According to the New Electricity Plan prepared by the Central Electricity Authority, India will produce half of its energy needs from renewable energy only by 2027.

Global Unemployment fell to 5.3% according to the ILO report of ILO.

• According to the report ‘World for Work’ released by the International Labour Organisation, global unemployment has fallen to 5.3%.
• The International Labour Organisation was established in 1919 and its headquarters was established in Geneva Switzerland.

India and Nepal sign an agreement on energy and transport.

• India and Nepal have signed an agreement to jointly develop Arun, a hydroelectric dam.
• India has started cargo train services between India and Nepal also.

French Company Alstom is going to build 100 Vande Bharat Trains.

• French rail company Alstom will manufacture 100 aluminium-bodied Vande Bharat trains with sleeper facilities, after bidding the lowest for the tender at a price of ₹150.9 crores per train.

UPI Transactions reach a record level in May 2023.

• UPI Transactions reach a level of 14.89 lakh crore in May 2023 according to the National Payment Corporation of India.
• 900 crore UPI Transactions were recorded every month in India.

• IAS Ajay Yadav of the 2005 batch has been appointed as managing director of the solar energy corporation of India.
• Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd. is a company of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India, established to facilitate the implementation of the National Solar Mission.

Celeste Saulo has become the head of the International Meteorological Organisation.

• The World Meteorological Organization voted Argentina's Celeste Saulo to become its first woman leader of the International Meteorological Organisation.
