Chhattisgarh’s GodhanNyayYojana: Cow dung procured at Rs. 2/kg

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister BhupeshBaghel inaugurated the process of payment against cow dung procurement to the bank accounts of beneficiaries underthe state government’s GodhanNyayYojana on August 5, 2020. Cow dung is being procured by the govt. from cattle owners at Rs 2 per kg. The dung so procured is utilised for preparing vermicompost fertiliser.

 

India contributes $15.46 million to the India-UN Development Partnership Fund

India has contributed $15.46 million to the India-UN Development Partnership Fund, underscoring the country’s commitment to supporting developing nations in their developmental priorities across all the Sustainable Development Goals. India’s Permanent Representative to the UN Ambassador T S T S Tirumurti handed over a cheque of $15.46 million to the United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC) Director Jorge Chediek on August 4, 2020.

 

Union Tourism Minister inaugurates Thenzawl Golf Resort project in Mizoram

Tourism Minister Prahlad Singh Patel today virtually inaugurated world class Thenzawl Golf Resort project implemented in Mizoram under the SwadeshDarshan Scheme.

 

The Project was sanctioned under the Integrated Development of New Eco Tourism.

Golf tourism in India has a strong potential since the climatic condition is more favourable as compared to most countries.

The Ministry of Tourism endeavours to work as a catalyst and active supporter for the development of Golf Tourism in the country.

India has several golf courses of international standards and golf events held in India also attract domestic and international tourists.

The Golf Course at Thenzawl is designed by Graham Cooke and Associates, one of the top-ranked Canada based Golf Course architectural firm.

 

What is Swachh Bharat Kranti?

“Swachh Bharat Kranti” is a translated copy of the book “Swachh Bharat Revolution”. Swachh Bharat Kranti is a Hindi version and Swachh Bharat Revolution”. Swachh Bharat Kranti is a Hindi version and Swachh Bharat Revolution is the English version. On August 5, 2020, the Hindi version of Swachh Bharat Revolution was launched by the Union Minister of Textiles and Women and Child Development SmtSmritiIrani and Union Minister of Jal Shakti Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.

The book is about the journey of Swachh Bharat Mission. It has 35 essays contributed by a range of stakeholders of the programme. The essays in the book have been arranged under four pillars namely Public Financing, political leadership, Partnership and Participation of People in the mission .The contributors of the book include Amitabh Kant, ArunJaitley, Sadhguru, Ratan Tata, etc.

 

Women soldiers deployed for first time in Kashmir make positive impact: Assam Rifles

‘Rifle Women’ deployed on duty for the first time in Kashmir have within a few days managed to make a positive impact on the local populace, the Assam Rifles said.

“Women soldiers of #AssamRifles deployed for the first time in Kashmir make a positive impact on the local populace in a matter of days. Smiling faces of locals is a testimony of professionalism of the Riflewomen of Assam Rifles,” the Assam Rifles tweeted.

The ‘Rifle Women’ is an unit of the Assam Rifles, the oldest paramilitary force of India.
