As an Officer after 12th Class

NDA (National Defence Academy) Exam

The NDA (National Defence Academy) exam is a highly competitive entrance exam conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) of India for candidates who wish to join the Indian Army, Navy, or Air Force as an officer. It is a two-stage selection process that includes a written exam and an SSB (Service Selection Board) interview. MNS (Military Nursing Service) Exam

MNS or Military Nursing Service Exam is conducted to select candidates for 4 years of BSc Nursing Course. This exam is conducted by the Directorate General of Medical Service. It is a 6-stage exam in which candidates will have to appear for the online exam, verification of documents, Online MNS Exam, Psychological Assessment Test (PAT), Interview, and Medical Examination.

  • 10+2 or Equivalent Passed with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with not less than 50% aggregate marks.

                                   Or

  • Candidates appearing for the final year of the qualifying examination during the current academic session.

  • Candidates should be between the age of 16.5 to 24.5 years.

                        Marital Status

  • unmarried/ divorced/ legally separated/widow without encumbrances.

Shortlisting through NEET (UG) Score

  • This will be the first stage of the MNS Exam in which candidates will be shortlisted based on their respective NEET (UG) Scores.

2nd

  • In the second stage of the MNS Exam, Candidates' Original Documents will be checked.

3rd

Test of General Intelligence & General English (ToGlGE)

  • Test of General Intelligence & General English (ToGlGE) will be a computer-based examination in which questions of general intelligence and general English will be asked.
  • There will be a total of 40 questions carrying 2 marks for each question. This Paper will be of a total of 80 Marks.
  • Candidates will have 30 minutes to answer 40 questions.
  • There will be a negative marking of 0.5 marks for each incorrect answer.

4th

Psychological Assessment Test (PAT)

  • The psychological Assessment Test (PAT) will be a qualifying stage and its marks will not be added to the final merit list.
  • The psychological Assessment Test (PAT) will be an MCQ-based test in which there will be questions of Psychology that Candidates will have to answer.

5th

Interview

  • After Psychological Assessment Test (PAT), the Interview of Candidates will be conducted by a Board of Officers at a designated venue.

6th

Medical Examination

  • Once Candidates are shortlisted after the interview, Candidates will have to go through Special Medical Board at the designated venue.

 

  • Based on the medical examination, Candidates will be declared fit/unfit.

 

TES (Technical Entry Scheme)

The Technical Entry Scheme (TES) is a program offered by the Indian Army to recruit technically skilled individuals as commissioned officers. This program is open to male candidates who have completed their 10+2 Classes with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as their core subjects. The TES program is aimed at individuals who have a passion for technology and want to serve their country as commissioned officers in the Indian Army. Candidates selected for this program undergo a rigorous training program and are provided with the necessary technical knowledge and skills to become successful officers. The TES program offers candidates the opportunity to serve in a variety of technical fields such as engineering, communication, electronics, and computers. Candidates selected for this program are commissioned as Lieutenants in the Indian Army.

AFMC Pune for Army Medical Corps

You can become a Doctor in Indian Armed Forces through Armed Forces Medical College, Pune. After passing out from AFMC, you will be commissioned into Army Medical Corps and get the rank of Captain after getting the commission. Career in Defence as a Soldier (Agniveer)

The government has changed the rules of soldier recruitment under the Agnipath Scheme. Under this new scheme, soldiers (agniveers) will be recruited for a period of 4 fours, and upon completion of four years, only 25% agniveers will be given a permanent position in the Armed Forces. Under the new scheme, both male and female candidates can apply for the position of agniveers.
