PM Narendra Modi inaugurates Aero India 2023 in Bengaluru

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, inaugurated the 14th edition of Aero India. This year Aero India is being organised at Yelahanka Air Force Station in Bengaluru. More Than 100 Countries have participated in Aero India 2023 to showcase their Aerial Assets and deepen their defence relations with India. At Aero India 2023, India will showcase its Aerial Capabilities and Aerial Assets, particularly Light Combat Fighter Jet Tejas. India has set a target of ₹25,000 Crore for exporting its defence equipment, and Aero India will undoubtedly be an excellent platform to achieve that target.

 

What is Aero India 2023?

Aero India is a biennial air show and aviation exhibition held in Bengaluru, India at the Yelahanka Air Force Station. It is organised by the Defence Exhibition Organisation, Ministry of Defence. Aero India is the largest air show in Asia. Aero India 2023 will be organised in Yelahanka Air Force Station in Bengaluru spreading over an area of 35,000 square meters. Aero India is going to be a five day event in which 3 days will be for business purposes and on the other two days Aero India will be open for common people to visit. "The Runway to a Billion Opportunities" is the theme of Aero India 2023.

 

Participants in Aero India 2023

More than 100 countries are going to participate in Aero India 2023 Airshow. 32 Defence Ministers and 29 Air Chiefs of different countries will also participate in Aero India 2023. 73 CEOs (Chief Executive Officers) are also going to represent their respective companies in Aero India 2023. The major participants include Airbus, Boeing, DassaultAviation, Lockheed Martin, Israel Aerospace Industry, BrahMos Aerospace, ArmyAviation, HC Robotics, SAAB, Safran, Rolls Royce, Larsen & Toubro, Bharat ForgeLimited, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) and BEML Limited.

 

Major Aerial Platforms and Aircrafts to be displayed in Aero India 2023

Aero India 2023 will showcase design leadership, growth in UAVs Sector, Defence Space, and futuristic technologies. Air platforms like Light Combat Aircraft (LCA)-Tejas, HTT-40, Dornier Light Utility Helicopter (LUH), Light Combat Helicopter (LCH), and Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) will be displayed in Aero India. Aerobatics Teams of the Indian Airforce i.e. ‘Surya Kiran’ and ‘Sarang’ will show Aerobatics Stunts in Air.
