Candidates who pass the various entrance exams for the armed services, such as the NDA, CDS, and AFCAT, are called for a five-day selection process and put through a comprehensive evaluation by the Service Selection Board (SSB). There are many SSB centers, depending on the entry via which a candidate is going to join the Indian Armed Forces, and this selection procedure after passing the written exam is known as the SSB Interview. Depending on the wings of the Indian Armed Forces, such as the Army, Air Force, and Navy, there are various SSB centers. There is a wide range of tasks that are undertaken, including screening assessments, interviews, psychological testing, group discussions, etc. Candidates who pass the SSB and receive recommendations continue on to the medical exam. They are qualified to join the armed forces if they pass their medical examination. In a nutshell, a candidate must successfully complete the SSB procedure in order to become an officer in the armed forces. We have included all of these SSB centers on one page, along with information about them.

Army SSB Centers in India

Selection Centre East, Allahabad

In 1957, the SSB Allahabad was established with the goal of making recommendations for qualified individuals based on the prism idea, which includes psychological tests, group discussions, GTO tasks, and personal interviews. To choose and recommend candidates for officer positions in the Indian Army, it has five Services Selection Boards, numbered 11, 14, 18, 19, and 34.

Selection Center Central, Bhopal

One of the popular priorities among SSB candidates and another significant selection center is SSB Bhopal. It contains three SSB boards with the numbers 20, 21, and 22, respectively.

Selection Centre South, Bangalore

On Cubbon Road in Bangalore, you'll find the SSB Bangalore. There are currently two boards in SSB Bangalore for the Army's SSB, namely 17 SSB and 24 SSB, and it is located in the former British quarters.

Selection Centre North, Kapurthala

On July 1, 2015, the SSB Kapurthala was established in its new location. The facility was operationalized when the raising was complete, and the first group of applicants reported on April 1, 2016. To select and recommend applicants for officer positions in the Indian Army, it has two Services Selection Boards, numbered 31 SSB and 32 SSB.

Navy SSB Centers:

Similar to the Indian Army, the Navy has a number of selection centers known as the Naval Selection Board (NSB). The following list includes the SSB centers for the Indian Navy that are spread out across India.

Air Force SSB Centers:

There are various selection centers for the Indian Air Force, just like there are for the Army and the Navy. The Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) is the name of these selection centers. The five AFSBs, which are spread across India, are listed below.
